Baby bedding set plays an important role in the baby’s room since that’s where baby spends most of its time sleeping till it doesn’t start moving on its own. While choosing a baby bedding set there are certain aspects that need proper attention. First is the size of the baby bedding set. It has to perfectly fit the size of the crib, cradle or the bassinet you have bought for your baby. Second is the quality of the bedding material. Most of the baby bedding set come in cotton but choose the ones that are of extremely good quality since baby’s bedding sheets would require daily washing and the bedding set you purchased should not look worn out and crumpled with every wash. Plus it’s not good for a baby’s skin, since its skin is very sensitive. Any type of irritation can cause allergies. Baby’s safety and comfort are of prime concern areas while choosing a baby bedding set.

Parents either go for a bassinet, a cradle or a crib as the baby bedding set. Crib is the most popular baby bedding set since it is durable and baby can sleep in it for almost two years. Crib has high wall kind of structure on all the sides ensuring baby’s safety and is square in shape. It requires a mattress, mattress cover of the mattress size and crib sheets. Mothers place pillows or bumper on the sides but it is advised that placing such things on the sides can lead to SIDS. When the baby moves in its sleep, a pillow or a bumper can fall on its mouth and suffocate it.

Bassinet is usually oval or round shaped and can be used as a baby bedding set till infancy. A baby bedding set that you purchase should fit the bassinet well and there should be enough space for the baby to move, or turn on the side.

Many parents also go for a cradle, where they can rock a baby to sleep. This is a good way of putting a cranky baby to sleep. Rocking movement is liked by the babies and when they are put into a cradle or a rocker, they love the rhythmic movement of it. The bedding should be of the right size for the cradle and parents should also give a though to the material used for the cradle. Never place pillows inside the cradle since babies might fall of the cradle using pillows to come out of it. Plus a cradle doesn’t have too much of space inside it so it’s best to avoid any such experiments.

Whatever form of baby bedding set you select, take immense care of the baby’s need of safety and security? There are several types of bedding sets available but if they serve the purpose or don’t fit the sleeping arrangement you have chosen for your baby then such a baby bedding set does not make any sense.
