It's great to decorate your cot and nursery with a beautiful quilt but just be aware if your baby is less than 12 months old you should remove the quilt from the cot before placing baby to sleep. Quilts, comforters, doonas and duvets pose a SIDS risk for young babies as they may cover your baby's face and make breathing difficult.
